Eastdale Acres

This 60-acre parcel of land is located in the famous San Luis Valley of Southern Colorado and has electricity on the adjacent road!  It offers majestic views of the great Rocky Mountains in all directions!  The land itself is rather flat, gently rolling prairie grassland, perfect for building or camping.  The ranch fronts on a good hard-packed dirt and gravel road, which is county maintained; so the land has year around access.  This piece of land is equidistant from Alamosa, Colorado and Taos, New Mexico – 50 miles southwest of Alamosa and 55 miles northwest of Taos, an old molybdenum mining town and now a famous ski area!

The ranch is surrounded by some of the best fishing and hunting in the Rocky Mountains.  The Eastdale Reservoir is a short walk away!  The famous Rio Grande river is just 4 miles to the southwest!  Only a few miles south is the beginning of a large area of BLM land.  The area is home to antelope and occasional deer or elk.  Hiking and “dune buggying” can be done in nearby areas.  Winter sports – skiing, snowboarding, and snowmobiling – are close by too in the ski resorts of northern New Mexico; Red River, Taos and Angel Fire are all 50 to 70 miles away.

This 60-acre lot is remote enough for real privacy with the closest neighbor several miles away.  Electricity runs along County Road 10 on the other side of the road (although many people prefer using solar energy), and underground water is available.  If you love gorgeous views of mountains and prefer a lot closer to New Mexico, this may be the property for you!

Directions:

Eastdale Acres is located in Costilla County, Colorado, about 50 miles southwest of Alamosa, and about 20 miles southwest of San Luis – the oldest town in Colorado! It is also about 15 miles northwest of Costilla, New Mexico.
